Feral Voice exists because there is no publication sitting cleanly between feminist theory, which is academic; the divine-feminine influencer economy, which is pastel; the coaching industry, which is transactional; and adult fiction, which is fiction. There are women practising sovereign feminine living right now, in their thirties and forties and fifties, who want serious contemporary writing on what they're actually doing — and there is almost nowhere to find it.
We are that publication. A roster of named writers, photographers, podcast hosts, and rotating columnists, working in the literary tradition of Didion, Lorde, Estés, Maggie Nelson, Rebecca Solnit, and Esther Perel. We publish five days a week across five pillars: Self, Bonds, Body, Alone, and Roots.
What Voice publishes
Long-form first-person essays. Interviews. Field reports from retreats, classes, and ceremonies. Photo essays. Advice from named columnists on three-month rotations. Anonymous lived-experience submissions from readers, lightly edited. A weekly podcast. A daily newsletter. Eventually, paid courses taught by guest practitioners; live circles for members; an annual retreat called The Long Burn.
What Voice refuses to publish
- Tactical "3 steps to" framing
- Therapy-speak: "validate your feelings," "do the work"
- Coaching-speak: "high-value," "magnetic," "level up"
- Religious framing — no God, no Universe-with-capital-U
- Pop-spirituality clichés — manifest, abundance, alignment
- AI-generated essays, synthetic interviews, generated photography
- Display advertising
Who Voice is for
Primarily, women between roughly twenty-five and forty-five, professional or creative class, who are interested in archetypal psychology, somatic practice, ethical non-monogamy, witchcraft-adjacent thinking, and the personal-essay tradition. Readers of Substack, The Cut, N+1, Aeon. Women already buying books in this space — Estés, Lorde, Federici, Pollack, Northrup, Easton.
Secondarily, men who serve and partner with sovereign women. The roster is small but engaged.
Who funds Voice
Our readers. Voice is member-supported. The free tier — the daily newsletter, the weekly podcast, and most essays — is free for everyone. The Voice Circle membership unlocks the full archive, member-only essays and podcast bonus episodes, the monthly live circle, and access to our annual in-person gathering. We accept aligned sponsorships from publishers, retreat centres, indie skincare and intimate-health brands. We do not run display advertising. We do not sell user data.
Who Voice belongs to
Feral Voice is an independent publication. It belongs to the family of tygrauniverse.com, but it stands on its own — separate brand, separate roster, separate editorial direction. We do not publish fiction, we do not promote fiction, and our editorial does not reference the larger universe by name. The family connection is in our aesthetic ancestry only, and it ends at the footer.
